Ever since I started my job last August, I got in the really bad habit of just driving to one of the fast food places down the street for lunch. I was probably eating out at least 3 or 4 times a week. Not only did that put a dent in my wallet, but in case you didn't know it, it's really difficult to eat healthy when you're eating fast food almost every day. So I decided 2 weeks ago that I am done with fast food, especially for lunch. I've taken my lunch every day since last Monday. I can officially say I have been without fast food and also pop for 8 days! I haven't really lost anything, but it's great knowing that I am actually sticking to this goal.

I'm really hoping to get more active on here and hopefully actually build up a following. I don't feel comfortable letting my real friends/family read this (I'm a very private person), so I guess I'm going to have to rely on strangers. Hopefully I can make this entertaining enough! :D

Wow! It's been two months since my last post. I can't believe it! Of course as I was starting this blog, my computer decided to die on me. I had to wait until Christmas time to get a replacement. So far, I'm loving the new laptop! So now I'm planning on how to resume my blog/website. Look out for some new posts in the coming week! :)

Sorry this is going to be a pretty short post. I'm actually in the middle of taking a class to help me be a better AdvoCare representative. It is so informative and I can tell it's going to help me a lot.

I've been really enjoying my 24 Day Challenge SO much more than the first time I did it! I just feel so much better than I did.

So today I did my first weigh-in just to see if I've had any results. I was so surprised to find that in the first 3 days, I've already lost 4.2 pounds! So excited and pumped to complete my challenge and see even more awesome results!

So I know that I said we were starting the 24 Day Challenge on Nov 1st, but obviously that didn't work out too well. Everyone that lives in my house (my parents, me, and my daughter) got a nasty cold this week. It was terrible. I lost my voice for about 3 days (which really, really, sucks when you work in a call center). So we decided to wait an extra day and let our immune systems work a bit.

The first day of the challenge wasn't too bad. I've done it before, so I knew what to expect, but my dad hasn't. I think one of the worst parts of the first 10 day phase is the fiber drink. Ugh. I hate it. So the fiber drink is this really horrid powder that you mix with 8 oz of water and drink before breakfast. I think the fiber drink is something you either love or you hate. I've heard people go both ways with it. If you ever have to drink the fiber drink, DRINK IT FAST! If you don't, it starts to get really thick and slimy. Blagh. But seriously, other than that horrid drink, the 24 Day Challenge really isn't that bad. Here's a break down of what I ate:

Before Breakfast: Orange Spark
Breakfast: Fiber Drink (I wasn't feeling very hungry, so I decided to skip the rest of breakfast)
Lunch: 3 scrambled eggs
Dinner: Turkey Burger (no bun), chili/black bean mixture, corn

I'm going to do some blogging about healthy recipes that I want to try while doing my 24 Day Challenge, but I haven't had the time to go to the grocery store or even cook yet. I'll hopefully be starting that soon!

So the time has finally come. It's time for me to go for the 24 Day Challenge again! I'm super excited to be doing it again! I had good results the first time (15 lbs!) and I will admit I got those results without giving the challenge 100% effort. But I am more than determined to giving my 2nd 24 Day Challenge 110%.

What has changed?

Well in the middle of my 1st challenge, I started a new job which consisted of very stressful training classes. I let my focus drift from my challenge. But now that I am much more comfortable in my position, I really can give all my focus to my challenge.

This time, I'm also going to have a partner-in-crime during my challenge. My dad will be right alongside me, doing his own 24 Day Challenge. He really doesn't need to lose any weight, but I'm hoping that this will kick start both of us to a healthier lifestyle. If only we could convince my mom to do the challenge with us...

But anyways, I digress. In the next couple days I will put up some better introductions about me and my dad.

I'm really looking forward to seeing my results on November 24th and I hope that my success will help other people start on their own path to be
